Silver Conductive Epoxy - Electrically Conductive two 7 gram syringes

Silver Conductive Epoxy from MG Chemicals

This is a silver conductive electronics grade epoxy from MG Chemicals. It features excellent thermal and electrical properties and bonds very well to many typesof surfaces. E-Z to use, coming in two ready to use syringes with an easy 1 :1 mix ratio. Curing time is approximately 5 hrs at room temperatures but we suggest faster curing team at elevated heat temps for best results. See table below for cure rates at various elevated temperares.

SILVER CONDUCTIVE EPOXY FEATURES

  • Very good thermal & electrical conductivity
  • Easy to use 1 to 1 mix ratio from the two syringes
  • Excellent water and chemical resistance to brine, acids, bases, & aliphatic hydrocarbons

Typical Usages and Applications

There are many uses for the 8331 silver conductive epoxy.  Most commonly, it is used to replace solder when bonding heat sensitive electronic components.  It also is used for quick and easy cold solder repairs and is also used to bond heat sinks to other components and Printed Circuit Boards.  Additionally, the 8331 silver conductive epoxy may be used to provided excellent Electro Magnetitic Interference/Radio Frequency Interference shielding as well as for filling seams between metal plates or for adding conductive jumpers when modifying a circuit design.

Most end users use this prooduct for repair and for assembly of electronics projects. Users come from many industries including: marine communication, automotive, aerospace, , measurement & instrumentation and industrial control industries

Compatibility:

The MG Chemicals 8331 epoxy adheres to virtually all materials one might find on PCB assemblies. It is not compatible with contaminants including water, oil, and greasy flux residue as these materials would adversely affect adhesion. If you find these contanimants on your PCB then it is recomended that they be cleaned away with an appropriate electronic cleaner such as MG's 4050 safety wash or item 824, Isoprpyl Alcohol.

Adhesion—As seen in the substrate adhesion table, the 8331 epoxy adheres to most materials found on printed circuit assemblies; however, it is not compatible with contaminants like water, oil, and greasy flux residues that may affect adhesion. If contamination is present, clean the printed circuit assembly with electronic cleaner such as MG Chemicals 4050 Safety Wash, 406B Superwash, or 824 Isopropyl Alcohol.
