Desoldering and Rework Station

Desoldering is easy with the BlackJack SolderWerks BK4050 hot air soldering and hot air desoldering system. It includes a hot air heat gun and a handy vacuum powered suction pen to easily handle I.C's and components after the solder has been removed. This desoldering system implements a digital display and tactile feedback buttons to help make operation easy. This desoldering system is designed with a hot air triple protection system that includes: System Cool Down, Auto System Sleep and Overheat Protection. The System Cool Down removes residual heat from the heat gun nozzle after the hot air function is switched off. This will help cool the nozzle more quickly and help increase the life of the heating element. The Auto System Sleep mode places the hot air gun into sleep status after the hot air gun has been unused while placed in its dock for a user defined time period( 5 minutes is the default time, 1-20 minutes may be programmed by the end user) Then, when the user picks up the hot air gun again ( after system goes to sleep mode), the desoldering system will automaticly revert to the settings in place when the sleep mode initiated. The Overheat Protect feature provides automatic protection in case an overheat in the hot air gun handle is detected. A built in heat sensitive fuse will unlatch when an overheat condition is detected. Once the desoldering system has cooled, the fuse will automaticly re-latch.

 

The included mechanical arm makes using this desoldering station much easier than most systems of this type. It can hold the heat gun in a steady location while the operator still has two hands available to manipulate the circuit board or the I.C. handleing tool. This desoldering station functions with or without the mechanical arm installed.
