The 3721A Programmable DC Electronic Load provides excellent performance with sophisticated features found on much more expensive units. This 400 watt, 40 Amp, 0~80 volt  Programmable DC Electric Load can be used to test all sorts of DC power sources including power supplies and is especially helpful to battery manufacturing processes. This DC load features constant voltage, constant resistance, constant current and constant power settings. The end user can design programs that control precisely all of the load values and time durations for each step of a test sequence. Up to nine 10 step programs can be internally stored in the 3721A Programmable DC Load.

The CSI3721A DC Programmable Electronic Load is the ideal DC Load for all of your power source testing needs.  This DC Load is easily controlled from the front panel keypad or rotary control knob, or with software through the serial port or USB port from a personal computer.  Designed to be easy to use, highly reliable, and multi-functional, the 3721A Programmable DC Load is an excellent choice for testing DC power sources of all kinds. This unit operates on standard 115VAC input or may be changed to 220VAC input via rear panel selector switch.

High Performance Characteristics of this DC Load:

• The Constant Resistance mode utilizes improved circuits to enhance the dynamic response and widens the application scope.
• The Constant Power mode allows testing of voltage sources, current sources, and effectively can prevent a short-circuit if insufficient test power is used.
• The CSI3721A's Minimum operating voltage is > 0.6V at the full rated current. The CSI3721A is well designed for testing solar cells, fuel cells, batteries, power supplies & other energy test applications with the use of optionally available low-voltage testing devices even with a 0 Voltage input.
• With its high speed circuitry and optimized calculation capabilities the CSI3721A's Digital to Analog conversion rate reaches 100kHz. Precision timing, dynamic test resolution and raised overall slope control smoothness have been improved.
• The included 24 bit Analog to Digital and 17 bit Digital to Analog converters allow enhanced resolution to the CSI3721A's settings and measurements.
