Party-LineTM allows you to easily demonstrate all types of standard telephone equipment, including those supporting CLASS related Caller-ID and Distinctive Ringing services. Affordable, easy-to-use, this versatile device can handle both voice or data calls. Just plug it into an AC power outlet and you'll have instant dial tone to test or demonstrate standard telephones, answering machines, fax units, and modems. Due to its exceptionally clear talk path, you can be assured of high quality voice transmissions as well as data connections up to 56K baud.

Party-LineTM has a single talk path and six modular RJ-11 equipped extension jacks. It is ideal for applications that have one or more phone devices to call but do not need the expense of supporting multiple data or voice conversations. Just imagine not having to search for a telephone line during off-site demonstrations. Think of how excited the office staff will be when you stop using their phone lines for your test calls. If you have ever rented a phone line for a trade show you will instantly recognize that Party-LineTM can pay for itself on its very first use.

Telephone equipment will behave as if it were connected to a real telephone line. You will hear authentic dial tone, busy signals, and ringing. Even the most discriminating listener won't be able to tell that the call is on a simulated line. It's perfect for use with call progress tone selective equipment such as modems and fax systems. Calling any of the extensions is just like making a real phone call - just dial a seven or eleven digit phone number. You get to choose the number, except the last two digits are used to indicate the extension and ring pattern.

Features

Caller-ID Signaling is provided in number only and name/number formats. One of six pre-programmed sample names can be sent and the displayed directory number is easily chosen when you make the call. It even supports sending Out-of-Area, Blocked Call, and Corrupt/Defective Messages.

Distinctive Ringing allows you to assign a unique ring pattern (five are available) at the called telephone extension. This feature accurately emulates the distinctive ringing feature that is currently offered in many parts of the USA.

Message Waiting Light Activation is included to help you show off this feature that is used by high end feature phones and Caller-ID boxes. For the utmost in compatibility, both the stutter dial tone and FSK visual message waiting indicator (VMWI) signal methods are used.

Digital 20Hz Ring Generator uses computer controlled precision to ensure that your standard telephone equipment can be rung. The ring circuit uses a superimposed voltage source, just like the phone company's, to maintain compatibility with popular telephone products.
