This solder station is designed with the tip integrated directly to the heating element to facilitate the fast heat recovery required when soldering with lead free solder. Lead free solder is more and more prevalent since the RoHS directive of 2007 and a fast heat recovery is required on any solder station that is being used with lead free solder. Direct contact between the heating element & the tip facilitates this function.

The BK3000LF solder station is a compact unit that provides reliable performance and is designed with microprocessor controls for maximum efficiency and accuracy.  The chassis for this solder station is fabricated using a high tech look extruded aluminum paneling system making it very attractive. This feature is consistent throughout the BlackJack SolderWerks product group ( BlackJack SolderWerks is a Circuit Specialists brand name). This solder station sets the temperature by pushing & holding the "+" button or the "--" button. If you push all three buttons simultaneously, the actual temperature at the heating element & integrated tip is displayed. Once the soldering station reaches the desired temperature, a short beep will be heard alerting the user that soldering may commence.  If the station is not used for 30 minutes, an auto shut off feature will shut the solder station down. This feature may be disabled. The BK3000LF is calibrated at the factory. A calibration port is provided for users that wish to recalibrate or check calibration. (This requires a contact thermometer at the tip). The BK3000LF solder station comes with an attractive comfort grip soldering iron. The soldering iron holder is fabricated from rugged aluminum & is detached from the base unit. The cord lengh is 1 meter from the station to the tip.
